Unexpected Gifts by Darklightsun (c) 2009 Prologue Most people have at least one major life changing moment in their lives. Ron's happened at the ripe old age of 19. He had just move to a new town just after he turned 18. He had left home to make his way in the world. Being a fairly good artist he was hoping to make a living with it eventually, but he had secured himself a fairly good job to pay the bills. Shortly after moving to town, he fell into the habit (due mainly to the guys he had been hanging around with) of visiting the local strip clubs. He did not know what it was about him, but he had always held some sort of fascination for strippers. He had never been a big spender at strip clubs, $100 being the most he ever spent and that mostly to buy dances for a buddy on his birthday. Ron did not know what it was, but whenever he visited a strip club he always ended up spending the evening hanging out with the hottest girl working, and he would hardly ever spend a dime on her. As a result, the rest of the strippers would also spend a good amount of time with him. When his new buddies figured this out, they always made me go with them to the clubs. What makes this even odder is that Ron is no Adonis. He is in every way average. From his sandy blond hair and blue eyes, to standing at five foot ten. He has never been big on exercise, but he stayed in reasonable shape. He never dressed like he was rich (which he was far from being). So there is really no explanation for why it happened. Sadly Ron's magic attraction only happens in strip club. For some reason the magic stops as soon as he leaves. On his nineteenth birthday, his buddies took him to the best strip club in town. This place was one of the full nude ones and lived up the the it's reputation for having the hottest girls in the area. Ron figured that this was mostly due to the clubs proximity to the 3 university in the area. That was the night Ron met Jessica. Her stage name was Jasmin, playing on her resemblance to the Disney character and her favorite costume was a blue genie outfit. Being a big fan of animation in general, and the 'Aladdin' movie in particular, Ron was hooked. She was hands down the most attractive dancer he had seen in the whole year he had been in town and visiting the clubs. As usual, his stripper attracting magic took effect, and Jessica spent the evening chatting with him and his friends. To this day, Ron does not know how he managed it, but for the the first time ever he took a stripper home with him. The sex that night was amazing, and just got better over the next two months. During that time Ron learned that Jessica got her nicely toned and naturally tanned 18 year old five foot five body from a combination of 10 years of dance and cheerleading and the blending of her Chinese mother's and Mexican father's genes. She got her mother dark brown eyes and her fathers curly brown hair. Her look where very exotic and eye turning even when she wasn't trying. After two months of dating, Jessica just stopped contacting Ron or answering his calls. There was no argument, and Ron had no idea what he might have done. For the first month he did everything he could to try and contact her. Even braving the threat of bodily harm from her father and older brother. Both of which informed Ron that she did not want to see me again and to leave their family alone. Dejected, Ron honored their wishes. * * * Almost 8 months to the day that Jessica stopped seeing him Ron got a call from her father: “You need to go to the Hospital. It is important. The Doctors there will explain it to you.” Needless to say, Ron was scared shit-less. Did Jessica have some sort of disease that she had passed to him? Was she dieing? Was he dieing? Ron rushed to the hospital and gave them Jessica's name. He was sent to an office to wait. After about 20 minutes a frazzled woman entered the office, sat at the desk and introduced herself. “Hello, I am Mrs. Jenkins. I am the Social worker handling this case.” Dumbfound Ron asked: “Why do I need a social worker? I thought I was here to see a Doctor about something to do with my ex-girlfriend?” Mrs. Jenkins gave him an odd look. Consulted one of her files and asked, “You don't know why you are here?” “No. I got a call from Jessica's Dad. He told to come here and speak to a Doctor to get an explanation. Is Jessica OK?” “Jessica is fine. I honestly don't now what is wrong with her father. He should have at least told you what was going on.” She looked at her file again. “Jessica gave birth to a girl yesterday afternoon. She has already signed away her parental rights in order to give the little girl up for adoption. The reason you are here is to do the same thing.” Ron was a father. Ron had a daughter. Jessica wanted to giver her away. “I'm a father? Why didn't she tell me?” “You didn't know? That can't be right.” Mrs. Jenkins looked in the file. “Damn, according to the file, her Dad says that you know about the child and want to give it up for adoption.” “Well he lied!” Ron yelled. After taking a breath to calm himself, Ron continued. “Eight months ago he threatened to send me to the hospital if I did not stop trying to speak to Jessica about why she just stopped seeing me.” He slumped in his chair. “He had to have known then and didn't tell me.” Mrs. Jenkins gave Ron a sympathetic look. “Sometime I really would like to smack some of the people I have to deal with in this job.” She reached across the desk and gave Ron a sympathetic pat on the forearm. “ What would you like to do?” Ron thought about it. He could sign the papers and not have to worry about anything. He would never have to know the little girl that Jessica and he had created. He could just continue enjoying his life as he had been before today. “Can I see her?” * * * The nursery was nearly empty. There where only two babies in it. Mrs. Jenkins knocked gently on the glass to get the nurses attention and pointed at one of the babies. The nurse smiled and went to the crib. After lifting the tiny bundle she turned and walked to the window. Once there she turned her body so that she could still safely hold the baby while showing her face to Ron and Mrs. Jenkins. The little girl was beautiful. He could already tell that she would have a complexion almost as tan as her mother's but there was no telling what the wisps of hair would become. When she was jostled by the nurse taking her hand she opened her eyes. They where as blue as Ron's own. She was is daughter. The nursed waved the hand she had taken at Ron. He could her her voice, but Ron was able to read the nurse's lips as she said “Hi Daddy.” with a smile. “Mrs. Jenkins, how do I keep her?” Ron's life had changed forever.
